The training and leadership tracks at SEU at Faith Family give students practical, relevant hands-on experience that prepares them for a successful launch and future within ministry and leadership. Students are trained and equipped in and through specific areas of interest by direct guidance from leaders and pastors enabling them to develop into world-class leaders.

Outreach

Students who pursue Outreach as their ministry track track will have the opportunity to learn healthy outreach strategies as they learn and serve alongside staff and volunteer leaders. Hands-on experience will include:

Preparing materials and resources for our prison campuses

Facilitating worship experiences and small group environments at correctional and addiction recovery facilities

Preparing correspondence to inmates

Coordinating local outreach events including Serve Day, Saturday Serve, and other serve opportunities

Freedom Campus

Students who pursue the Freedom Campus as their ministry track will have the opportunity to learn and serve alongside staff and volunteers to assist in creating environments and setting a culture where people can experience God’s presence. Students will also assist in executing weekend worship experiences at the Freedom campus. This ministry track provides a very diversified hands-on ministry experience in areas including Guest Services, Assimilations, Family Care, and Connect Groups. Within all four areas, students will gain experience during the week in:

Serving with volunteers

Leadership development

Planning and executing church events

Administrative tasks

Pastoral care

Campus Development

Students who pursue Campus Development as their ministry track will have the opportunity to learn and serve alongside staff and volunteers to assist in creating environments and setting a culture where people can experience God’s presence. Students will also assist in executing weekend worship experiences at our campuses. This ministry track provides a very diversified hands-on ministry experience. It also provides in-depth leadership training. Students will gain experience during the week in:

Planning and executing church events

Online Campus

Students who pursue the Online Campus as their ministry track will have the opportunity to learn and serve alongside staff and volunteers to assist in creating engaging online experiences where people can experience God’s presence and grow in their discipleship journey. Student Ministries

Students who pursue Student Ministries as their ministry track will gain hands-on experience in planning, organizing, executing, and preparing environments for all events, connect groups, worship experiences, and on-campus events connected to student ministries. Each student will participate in this ministry track according to their gifts by selecting an area of focus (worship experience/special events, on-campus/team leader care, connect groups, social media/creative). Students may gain experience in:

Event planning

Video/graphic design

Faith Family Kids

Students who pursue Faith Family Kids as their ministry track will learn and serve alongside staff to help kids come to know the foundation of what it truly looks like to have a relationship with God. Our goal is to help children come to know the authority they have in Christ and how to exercise it in their day-to-day life. Students in this track will help prepare and play a part in the weekly worship experiences (online or on-site) that allow children to encounter God. Students will gain experience during the week in:

Social media

Creating games and activities for kids

Creative Arts

Worship

Students who pursue Worship as their ministry track will gain hands-on experience in serving together with others to create worship experience environments where people (kids through adults) can encounter God’s presence. This includes:

Creating song sets

Preparing for rehearsals

Serving with volunteers

Seeing how a worship team operates

Planning for special events such as Easter, Christmas, and conferences

Social Media

Students who join the Social Media team as their ministry track will help create content that moves people to action through social media, written content, and other creative campaigns. Students can expect to have an opportunity to add value on social media accounts and focus heavily on look, feel, and sound. The team adds elements that provide visual communication for all worship experiences as well as other environments throughout our campuses and ministries. They also resource all departments with digital and print design needs. Students who select the social media track can expect to gain hands-on experience in:

Graphic design

Account management

Scheduling

Photography

Event planning

Video

Students who pursue Video as their ministry track will gain hands-on experience in two distinct areas: postproduction and live production. Postproduction creates all media for the ministry, including worship experiences, generational areas, TV commercials, the TV program, social media, etc. Live production is responsible for all live events, including worship experiences, generational events, conferences, etc.

Tech

Students who pursue Tech as their ministry track can expect to gain hands-on experience in audio, video, and lighting. This includes:

Installing, operating, and repairing technical equipment around the church

Serving alongside other ministry areas to create and enhance environments so people are put in the best position possible to receive from God
